Framed School Year & Sports Layouts PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 06 December 2005

Every year, your child gets their picture taken at school. Every year, you buy those pictures, in different sizes, for yourself and your family. Some years they make it into frames, and some years they don't. If they do make it into frames, they only stay there a year, then are taken down and the new one gets put into the frame. What do you do with the old one? Do you put it into a drawer or a box and forget about it, until you're cleaning things out?

I have a better idea: a special Framed School Layout, with the name of your child's school and the year, all framed and ready to hang on your wall. But a 12x12 frame and create a layout like the one I have shown. In the following years, simply create one layout. Take the first layout out of the frame, put the new layout in, and put the old layout into a scrapbook album. At the end of your child's school years, you will have an entire scrapbook album, with each page showcasing your child's school year, class picture, and school name. What a wonderful way to store those school pictures, and what a wonderful gift this would also make for your child's grandparents! I created this layout digitally. Since I have a large format printer, I was then able to print it out and use it for a wonderful gift for a friend.

Likewise with sports: is your child involved in school or community sports? Do they have their pictures taken every year? I know mine do. I have years of soccer and baseball pictures showing their love of the game. Wouldn't you like to have a special way to showcase and remember their efforts?

Create layouts with mats for both individual and team photos, and purchase  a frame for hanging. By simply creating one new layout every year afterward, and an album to put the old layouts in, you will end up with an album full of special memories for you and your child!
